PULSE
Pulse is a digital instrument panel designed for Erkunt Tractor's new tractor segment. The focus of the project was to translate the universal symbols and icons from the traditional serigraphic dashboard into a modern digital interface. The design preserves familiarity while enhancing readability, usability, and the overall operator experience.

The Challenge
The challenge was to translate the existing serigraphic instrument panel into a digital interface while preserving the familiarity of its icons and symbols. The transition from an organic instrument cluster to a rectangular digital display required rethinking the layout to create a clear, intuitive information hierarchy without compromising usability.
Market Research
Digital instrument clusters used in both passenger vehicles and modern tractors were analyzed to identify best practices in information hierarchy, icon placement, typography, color usage, and warning systems.
The research highlighted common patterns for presenting critical information while emphasizing the importance of preserving familiar tractor iconography. Particular attention was given to how different screen geometries influence layout, readability, and the grouping of information.
The findings informed the design of a digital instrument panel that maintains the familiarity of the existing interface while taking advantage of the flexibility and improved user experience offered by a modern rectangular display.
